3 Week Sessions on Zoom $30+tax for session
Our Online Dance Program is a great way for children and youths who are at home to stay physically active, as well as provide them with a fun creative outlet. It is not meant to take the place of in-person classes but allows dance to remain accessible during this unsure time.
- For students who are new to dance, the shorter sessions allow them to test the waters without a huge commitment.
- For experienced dancers who aren't ready (or able) to return to the studio, our online sessions are a great way to stay in shape and will help keep them from falling behind in their training. It also gives them a chance to experiment with different styles and dance forms they haven’t taken before.
PLEASE NOTE --- Sessions may be joined after their initial start-date; fees will be adjusted automatically in our system upon purchase.
MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2021 - SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2021

Classes in this session will run the week of March 15-20 --- if a dancer is unable to attend this week, a video recording of the class will be sent via a password protected Vimeo link.

Online Dance Program FAQ's
How do I sign up?
-
It is easy to sign up for Online Sessions through our online system, Amilia. Just click on the "Jay9 TV" option under "Programs" tab. Payment can be made via credit card or e-check
Can I sign-up for a session that is already begun?
-
Yes, our system will automatically pro-rate your fee by removing any classes that the dancer has missed.
When will I receive the ZOOM link?
-
Approximately 1-hour prior to the class time. Please be sure to check your junk mail in case the email went into that folder by mistake. If you have any issues, phone our office at (416) 261-9312
What happens if I miss a class or if my internet connection is lost during a class?
-
If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, we will send you a recording of that class so the dancer may follow along at their own convenience. Classes will be shared through a password protected Vimeo link.
What happens if I am late for class?
-
We understand that sometimes life gets busy, so if you are late for class, you will still be allowed to join. In this situation, though, the teacher may request that the student do a quick warm-up on their own (such as jumping jacks) prior to joining in with the rest of the group. If you prefer, you may also skip that day's class and be sent the recording of the class through a password protected Vimeo link instead.
Do I need to show my video feed during the class?
-
If you prefer, you are welcome to leave your video screen turned off during the class; however, we ask that you turn the video on at the beginning of class for a quick visual greeting/check-in. Please note, teachers will not be able to provide specific corrections to those with their video feed turned off and will instead give general feedback.
Can more than one dancer participate in the class
-
Absolutely! The fee for the session covers one device (computer, tablet, phone, etc.). As long as the dancers have enough space to move around safely, it is fine for more than one person in the household to participate.
